About Kwanzaa
Kwanzaa is a week-long celebration (December 26 – January 1) honoring African heritage and culture. Founded in 1966, it's built around the Nguzo Saba — seven core principles including unity (Umoja), self-determination (Kujichagulia), and creativity (Kuumba). Each night a candle is lit on the kinara, and the final night features the karamu (feast).
